Happy new year?
I sit here, having a few old fashions and as of now 4 Czech Rebel Beers, pondering the new year. I mean, have a happy new year? This past year wasn’t so bad. The only real bad spots were getting a mediocre 151 on my LSAT and moving Valena 4 hours(drive) away. But how does one actively make a new year better or happier? Try harder or try less? Shouldn’t people be living like the best person they can possibly be?
Regardless I think my mother made the best toast I ever heard for a new year, “Here is to making 2011 the best we can.” Says it all, really. I can’t decide WHERE I go to law school, I can’t decide if my trolling of people works out for the best. All I can do is hope is that I do my best and that everything works out for the best.
So to anyone who reads this, make this the best 2011 you can possibly make it. It may be better, it may be worse, but make DAMN sure that you make it yours.
Also, I really miss my Dad.
