Good not great?

So I made a comment about my trip to Las Vegas last night.  My good friend Javi and his lady Amanda loved it, I simply stated I had fun and a good time but I wasn’t as enamored with the trip as much as my cohorts.  So the discussion started as to why, Vegas is effen awesome, why did I not have a super awesome time?  Thoughts were thrown out like was it to touristy? Did we not do enough “Vegas” things?  Was there not enough hooker play? Joking on that last one.  AIDS isn’t something I wanted out of this trip.

Well a new friend of mine asked me further, he is contemplating a trip to Las Vegas and I guess got intrigued by my not perfect review of the city.  I told him what sort of made the trip less enjoyable was that it felt like we were on a time table more often then not.  It felt a lot like, well now we have to do this and this then we do this and that.  So I told him if he is going to plan anything, plan on a show and your meals.  If you make plans it feels rigid.

Honestly, I feel like I missed out on something.  Something was missing from the trip that would have made it epic, and I think that one thing would have happened on Thursday, thanks LAX.  What did make my trip fun was the people I was with and the activities that were fun.  But something was missing, and I hope I find it next time we go, because we will go again.
